Emily Tipton
RD, CDCES
Emily Tipton is a Registered Dietitian (RD) and Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES). Emily received her B.S. in Biomedical Science from Troy University. She later completed her dietetic internship and M.S. in Nutrition from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She interned here at ECET in 2020, where she discovered a passion for diabetes education. She was excited to join our practice in 2022 and currently works at the Maryville office.
As a dietitian, Emily helps patients achieve their individual health goals by focusing on realistic and impactful adjustments to diet and physical activity. She strives to educate those with diabetes so that they feel empowered to be active in their care. As a certified pump trainer, she educates and supports patients alongside their health care providers to optimize their insulin pump regimens.
Emily moved from Alabama to Tennessee in 2019 with her husband and dog. They have fallen in love with the natural beauty of east TN, as well as all the delicious food to be found in Knoxville and the surrounding areas. She enjoys hiking, practicing yoga, cooking, and spending time with her loved ones.
