Ms. Louisa Sawyer is a Family Nurse Practitioner and Certified Diabetes Educator.  Louisa graduated from East Tennessee State University in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.  She began her nursing career as a Registered Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit at the Johnson City Medical Center.  She then worked for 10 years at Takoma Regional Hospital in Greeneville, TN as the Diabetes Education Coordinator.  In 2016 she graduated from Austin Peay State University with a Master of Science Nursing and became a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner credentialed by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. She worked as a Nurse Practitioner in gastroenterology in Greeneville, TN before returning to work in endocrinology.

​Louisa lives in Knoxville with her family of 7.  She enjoys watching and playing soccer, running, reading, and traveling.
